It might be September, but I'm holding on to summer for as long as possible. Since it's Labor Day weekend, I have an extra day to relax and enjoy the warm weather. That means grilling, sipping wine or beer from a picnic blanket while listening to live music, and snacking on guacamole. I might also sew the curtains and some pillow covers.
Then again, September signals the beginning of all things pumpkin, starting with Schlafly's Pumpkin Ale. And I'm pretty excited about it! Schlafly is a great microbrewery out of St. Louis, MO. Unfortunately, their beer is not available in Chicago. Though we're in St. Louis so often, and have family that can drive it to us, that we can get our fix pretty easily. If you're ever in St. Louis, I definitely recommend having a beer and meal at either the Tap Room or Bottleworks, where the beer is brewed. Tours are also available at the Bottleworks.

ReplyDeleteSounds like a great weekend!!! Enjoy it! We are headed up to northern Michigan to spend the weekend at my family's cabin with everyone! :) Hopefully our traffic isn't too bad!
